Vision Statement:

We are a welcoming faith-filled family bringing Christ to our community and world.

Our Values

We value being humbly, prayerfully, and creatively guided by the Holy Spirit and God’s Word.
“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”  Galatians 5:25

We value serving one another in loving and forgiving relationships.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”  Ephesians 4:32

We value meeting the needs of our neighbors.
“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”  Matthew 25:40

We value reaching out to all generations.
“One generation shall commend Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.”  Psalm 145:4

We value people knowing Christ, worshiping Christ, growing in Christ, and making a difference for Christ.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

Our Story

Mission Liberty Hill Lutheran Church, located Liberty Hill, Texas, was originally founded in October 2009 as a Bible study group, led by Pastor Jim Craver of Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg. Our first worship services were held in May 2010 under the leadership of Pastor Wilbern Michalk, also from Walburg.

In July 2012, Pastor Paul Frerichs was installed as our first full-time pastor. In June 2013, Mission Liberty Hill was chartered as a congregation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
Pastor Frerichs accepted a call in October 2017 to Ohio.

Currently, our church is waiting with prayerful anticipation to see whom God has planned for our next Pastor.  In the meantime, Rev. Dr. Mike Coppersmith is serving as the church’s vacancy pastor.
