What to Expect
All of our activities and worship gatherings are informal, come-as-you-are events. It’s our desire for you to feel comfortable and welcomed in every way.
Our worship gathering begins at 10:00 AM on Sundays. The service style is typically “blended” with contemporary and hymns/liturgy used within most services. The third Sunday of every month is more contemporary using drums, guitars, and other musical intruments. Following our worship gatherings you are invited to stay for refreshments and fellowship time.
Care for Kids: Children are Welcome in Worship!
Almost every service has a special part for children. We encourage families to worship together. Jesus encouraged children to be near Him when He said, “Let the children come to me” (Mark 10:14). During the sermon, children age 3-5th grade are invited to an age-appropriate teaching and those under the age of three are welcome to go to our childcare (if desired). There is also a “cry room” available in the back of our facility for diaper changing, nursing, or if you feel your child is becoming restless.
Am I expected to give an offering?
Giving an offering is an act of faith, trusting in God to provide for all of our needs; and an act of love, knowing that there is nothing that we can give that compares to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. The offering is for those who are part of our Mission family. We do not expect you to give an offering, unless the Lord is leading you to do so. Our desire is for you to get something from your time gathered with God’s people in worship … a feeling of acceptance among His people and a closer glimpse of God.
What about Communion?
Holy Communion is celebrated at Mission Liberty Hill every Sunday. We ask those who believe as we do in this touch of grace that God has given to us to come and celebrate with us. We believe that in Communion we receive the very true body and blood of Jesus Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine for the forgiveness of our sins. If you have questions about receiving Communion at Mission Liberty Hill, we ask that you speak to an Elder or our Pastor before receiving. If this is not what you believe about the Lord’s Supper, but you still desire to come forward for a blessing, please do so, and when you come to the altar please cross your arms over your chest, indicating that you desire to receive a blessing from the Pastor.
